Given that the virus is thought to survive on surfaces, we prefer that individuals who have been exposed to COVID-19 do not make masks, in order to minimize the possibility of transmission. Exposed individuals are more than welcome to aid the movement in a contact-free way by being a caller volunteer, a state/regional lead or assistant, or a national (internal) volunteer.
